Crafting supplies needed for the Women of the ELCA crafting group
St. Paul’s Women’s Craft group is looking for donations of wooden frames with glass, 8” x 10” or larger. Frames need not be in great condition; we are distressing them for the craft project we want to use them for. Old Scrabble™ letter tiles needed. Any letters will be appreciated for another project we hope to make.
Old woolen sweaters in any size – moth holes are fine since they will be cut apart for that project! Empty wine bottles in any color or size are also invited. We can use about 8-10 of them. We are also looking for some raw wood or barn board. We have a couple of projects in mind for that and of course we can always use the help of a carpenter (or someone who likes to “play” with a saw!).
We always like to “up”cycle or recycle when we are able. If you have any of these items on hand or in your barn or attic, we’d appreciate it if you would share them! Donations can be left in the Narthex in the basket provided.
All are invited to join us on Wednesday afternoons from 1-4pm for fellowship and crafting. (We will not be meeting on Wednesday, July 29th due to VBS.) Some of us sew; others knit; others paint; and still others work on various crafts. We’ve made a few projects for the Fall Fair already (wall hangings, doggie toys, Olaf the Snowman hooded towels for small kids, baby dolls in baskets, and crayon bags to name a few).
