Assisting Ministers needed!
Assistant Minister Volunteers needed!
Our congregation is looking for additional volunteers to serve as Assisting Ministers on Sunday mornings. Assisting Ministers lead singing, and read some of the prayers during the Sunday morning service. This will provide some of you with the opportunity to share your time and talents. We are all members of what Luther called “the Priesthood of all believers.” Worship does not belong to the pastor. Liturgy is “the work of the people,” therefore we ask people to come forward to read the scriptures, to serve as communion assistants and Assisting Ministers. This is how our liturgy is written to be done. If anyone is interested in leading in this way, please contact Kevin Ross or Pastor Mike. We would like to have several volunteers to serve is this capacity so that we have a rotating schedule.
One thing that would be important is the willingness to serve at both the 8:15 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. services.
