Fellowship Dinner this Saturday, October 1, 2016 5:15 pm
There’s a hint of fall in the air and the fellowship committee promises a tasty dinner for this coming Saturday night, October 1st. Fellowship begins at 5:15 pm and dinner will be ready for 5:45 pm. On the menu is roast port with gravy, mashed potatoes, roasted squash, salad, bread & butter, bread & butter, and assorted pies for dessert. We’ll also have macaroni and cheese for the kids who prefer that. June Seiser and Fred Rakyta are head chefs assisted by their trusty crew of volunteers! Tickets are $12.50 per adult; $7 for kids ages 5-10; kids under 5 are free. A family special for 2 adults and two children is $35. Call the church office (860/482-3555) to reserve your tickets so we are sure to have enough food for all who wish to eat. Take-out meals are also available.
Members have been very generous with some of the drawing prizes we’ll have to offer. Do you like “Doo Wop” music? We have a pair of tickets donated by a member who wishes to remain anonymous for the upcoming concert at the Warner Theater on October 22nd. Value is $158 and the seats are great! We also have a hand beaded crystal jewelry set, Willow Tree angels, a quilted bed set, and lots more! We hope to have something to please everyone!
The youth who attended WorkCamp this past summer in Fulton, NY will be telling stories and sharing pictures of their Mission Trip. With 33 youth and adults who made the trip, there are sure to be some funny accounts as well as inspirational stories. One-half of the proceeds of the dinner will go toward the youth WorkCamp mission trip for next summer.
