REFORMATION FOOD COLLECTION
In celebration of 501st anniversary of the Reformation we will be doing our usual food drive to benefit hungry members of our community. As with all birthdays, traditionally a gift is given. To that end, we will be trying to collect 501 nonperishable food items. This gives us all about a month to collect various items that will be appreciated by those who need a helping hand. The 9th grade class will head the effort to collect the food and they will be serving a festive coffee fellowship following church that day. Sunday School classes will be invited to the fellowship hall during class that day for a special treat in honor of the 501st birthday! Please give as you are able so others don’t have to go without.
Also Sunday is the last day to donate items to the Fall Fair Baskets! Here is the list if you cannot remember what you have to bring!
THEME BASKET ASSIGNMENTS FOR FALL FAIR 2018
In order to make the Fall Fair a true congregation-wide event, all Sunday School and confirmation classes as well as committees and organizations within the church, members & friends, and the scout groups using our facilities are invited to bring items for a specific theme basket for our annual theme basket drawing. The theme baskets are always a favorite part of the fair. Donations for the theme baskets should be returned to the church no later than Wednesday, October 24th to allow time for baskets to be arranged and wrapped before the fair. Donations can be left in the Narthex in the boxes/ baskets marked for “Theme Basket Donations.” Ideas are below, but don’t be limited by ideas; please be creative!
