Update regarding St. Paul’s Lutheran Church
It is with an abundance of caution that the decision has been made to cancel all activities and worship at St. Paul’s for at least 2 weeks. We will not hold worship or have any other activities through March 29th. At that time, the situation will be re-assessed and a decision will be made to extend the closure or go back to business as usual. We will offer a recorded service via our website and Facebook weekly.
Also a note about the Women of the ELCA and their scheduled activities: St. Paul’s Women of the ELCA regularly scheduled meeting for Monday, March 23rd is cancelled. The decision to postpone the scheduled Bean Auction for May Day, 5/1/2020, is postponed. In these uncertain times it isn’t feasible to plan it and then have to rescind publicity. Please continue to make, or solicit prizes; part of the proceeds will benefit the Pink Rose Fund (a program offering free mammograms to uninsured women) and the remaining proceeds will stay here at St. Paul’s.
The Naugatuck Valley Conference Women of the ELCA Spring Gathering, set for April 25th is also cancelled. Recommendation to not plan gatherings for 8 weeks falls within that time. Stay tuned to see if it will be rescheduled for a later date.
Meanwhile, continue your Lenten journey assured that He continues to wrap each of us in His loving embrace.
Please be well during this time and take the precautions being recommended to remain safe. Thank you.
