Scam text/emails

A member informed me that he had received a request from someone using my name, but from an odd phone number, asking for him to purchase gift cards. I wouldn’t make such a request. We might do that from the pulpit during church, or send out an email that clearly comes from the church for one of our official ministries, but not from me personally, and not from an unidentifiable phone number. Please be wise when seeing requests of a suspicious nature, and let me know if you are unsure. Peace, Pastor Cady
