Grinder Sale ordering deadline, Souper Bowl Sunday, Property Work Form and the Newsletter!
Hello Everyone! Today is the last day to order grinders and support St. Paul’s Youth Work Camp mission. Please call or e-mail your order to the office, secretary@stpaulstorrington.com. The youth are sponsoring a grinder sale on Souper Bowl Sunday, February 1st between services, freshly-made ham, turkey, and Italian combo. All grinders include meat, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and condiment packets. Cost is $6.00 per sandwich. Only a limited number of unreserved grinders will be available for sale. All youth and parents are reminded to be in the fellowship hall at 8am that Sunday morning to help make the grinders for pick-up between services.
For many years St. Paul’s has participated in the “Souper Bowl of Caring” on Super Bowl Sunday. The brainstorm of NFL players over twenty five years ago in an effort to help eradicate hunger in our country, the initiative took hold and millions of dollars and food items have been collected in communities around the country to support local hunger. On February 1st you are invited to bring non-perishable food and money to support local food pantries and the community soup kitchen. The 9th grade class will have soup pots to collect your monetary donations. Our numbers will be tallied and added to those of others joining the efforts and a national total will be available later in the month
We are going to make forms available for members of St. Paul’s to fill out if they find something that needs fixing at the church. A copy of the form is attached and will also be available in the Narthex.
And last but certainly not least, here is the newsletter for February!
The results are in from the Congregation Council regarding the same-sex marriage survey.
