Spring Fellowship Dinner…will it happen? It depends on you!
The Spring Fellowship Dinner is quickly approaching but the Fellowship Dinner is questionable at this point. Tickets are going very slowly to date and unless we can sell 100 tickets by next Sunday, we will be forced to cancel the event. We have quality entertainment planned, Tom Hanford, a well known entertainer in the area is planning to play a mix of old and contemporary songs to get all generations tapping their toes (http://www.tomhookerhanford.com/)! The dinner is planned to help support the Sharing Garden which provides healthy vegetables to the soup kitchen and food pantries throughout the growing season. Soaker hoses and repairs to the irrigation system are two things desperately needed at this point. If you wish to purchase tickets for the dinner, please call the church office (860/482-3555) to reserve them.
Saturday, May 13th is the date for the Parmesan Crusted Chicken Breast, Sue Racloz’ flavored rice, Veggies, salad, bread, beverages, and Mom’s favorite cookies*. We will also have macaroni & cheese for the younger crowd who might prefer that! Fellowship begins at 5:15pm and dinner is at 5:45pm. We will be honoring all women with a small gift and our usual paper bag auction will help support the Sharing Garden.
Please check your calendar and act now! Again, we must have at least 100 tickets sold in the next week in order to make the dinner happen.
