This coming Sunday is the day for the first step in calling a full time pastor. “History Day,” as it is being called is a day to celebrate our past, our present, and our future, here at St. Paul’s and in our community and our world. Where have we been? What challenges have we overcome and what amazing accomplishments have we celebrated? How have we grown? How have things changed?
This event is for old time members, newer members, teens and young adults, and all those in between! Prospective members are invited too, to learn not only about the past but to project the future paths we might take! How can we proclaim that Christ is Lord of all to one another and to our community and world?! The possibilities are exciting and you can be a part of the discussion, brainstorming, reminiscing, and planning for the future!
Please come on Sunday, February 25th, immediately following church in the fellowship hall. The fellowship committee will provide a make your own sandwich buffet with chips and beverages. We are requesting donations of homemade cookies for dessert and are looking to stock the freezer with leftover cookies for coffee hour, if you are able to help with that.
Call the church office (860/482-3555) or e-mail Rachel (secretary@stpaulstorring.com) by Thursday, February 22, to say you can attend. We need a fairly accurate count for lunch.
Babysitting will be available for children through 8 years old. Some of our teenagers will be supervising the kids while we are at work in the hall.
Help out the youth going to WorkCamp this summer buy purchasing your grinders here for the big game! They will have a table in the Narthex this Sunday to take your orders. You will find the order form attached to this post. Pick up in February 4 after church!
We are so close to reaching our goal of 500 non-perishable food items! If you can please bring in items this Sunday so we can reach our goal!
