REFORMATION FOOD COLLECTION<\/b><\/p>\n
In celebration of 501st<\/sup> anniversary of the Reformation we will be doing our usual food drive to benefit hungry members of our community.\u00a0 As with all birthdays, traditionally a gift is given.\u00a0 To that end, we will be trying to collect 501 nonperishable food items.\u00a0 This gives us all about a month to collect various items that will be appreciated by those who need a helping hand.\u00a0 The 9th<\/sup> grade class will head the effort to collect the food and they will be serving a festive coffee fellowship following church that day.\u00a0 Sunday School classes will be invited to the fellowship hall during class that day for a special treat in honor of the 501st<\/sup> birthday!\u00a0 Please give as you are able so others don\u2019t have to go without.<\/p>\n Also Sunday is the last day to donate items to the Fall Fair Baskets!\u00a0 Here is the list if you cannot remember what you have to bring!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n THEME BASKET ASSIGNMENTS FOR FALL FAIR 2018<\/b><\/p>\n In order to make the Fall Fair a true congregation-wide event, all Sunday School and confirmation classes as well as committees and organizations within the church, members & friends, and the scout groups using our facilities are invited to bring items for a specific theme basket for our annual theme basket drawing. The theme baskets are always a favorite part of the fair. Donations for the theme baskets should be returned to the church no later than Wednesday, October 24th to allow time for baskets to be arranged and wrapped before the fair. Donations can be left in the Narthex in the boxes\/ baskets marked for \u201cTheme Basket Donations.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0 Ideas are below, but don\u2019t be limited by ideas; please be creative!<\/p>\n Thank you in advance for your help! The Theme Baskets for each group are listed below: <\/b><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n PAPER PRODUCTS<\/p>\n Paper plates, napkins, toilet paper, tissues, paper towels, waxed paper, plastic wrap, magazines, books, etc.<\/p>\n CLEANING SUPPLIES<\/p>\n Window cleaner, bleach, hand soap, comet, sponges, bleach wipes, furniture polish, bathroom & toilet cleaner, detergent, extension duster, Lysol, dust pan & brush, etc.<\/p>\n CONGREGATION COUNCIL<\/b><\/p>\n TASTE OF ITALY<\/p>\n Pasta, sauce, wine, wine glasses, block of Parmesan, olive oil, bread sticks, etc.<\/p>\n SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES<\/b><\/p>\n SWEET TOOTH<\/p>\n Candy of any kind, sweet snacks (caramel corn, chocolate-covered potato chips, etc.), Candy Land board game, etc.<\/p>\n ALTAR GUILD<\/b><\/p>\n CHOCOLATE!<\/p>\n The Guild\u2019s passion has been chocolate!\u00a0 Do your thing with donations of chocolate in any shape or size!\u00a0 Candy, candles, cookbooks, boxed mixes, S\u2019mores, etc.<\/p>\n CHRISTIAN EDUCATION\/HILLTOP ADVISORY COUNCIL<\/b><\/p>\n BOOK CLUB<\/p>\n Book store gift card, books, magnifying glasses, wine, glasses, crackers, bookmark, flavored tea, hot chocolate, mug.<\/p>\n LUTHER LEAGUE\/CONFIRMATION<\/b><\/p>\n JUST ADD ICE CREAM<\/p>\n Sundae toppings, sprinkles, banana split dishes, cones, waffle dishes, small candy (M&M\u2019s, gummy bears, Skittles, etc.), ice cream scoop, gift card for ice cream, cookie crumbles, marshmallow cream, etc.<\/p>\n EVANGELISM\/SHARING GARDEN\/STEWARDSHIP<\/b><\/p>\n BABY, IT\u2019S COLD OUTSIDE!<\/p>\n Fleece blanket, fire starters for fireplace, hat, gloves, scarf, mittens, hot chocolate, hand warmers, cozy slippers, soup mix, mugs, soup bowls, family movie, book, puzzle book, Snowman building kit, etc.<\/p>\n WORSHIP & MUSIC, SENIOR CHOIR, FELLOWSHIP<\/b><\/p>\n New England\u2019s Famous Foods<\/p>\n Any sort of food made in New England!\u00a0 New England Clam Chowder or ingredients to make it, maple syrup, maple sugar candy, baked beans, brown bread, country ham, locally grown apples\/applesauce\/apple pie, blueberry syrup or jam, etc.<\/p>\n PUPPETTUDE<\/b><\/p>\n SNACK ATTACK!<\/p>\n Just as it says \u2026.
