Community Outreach

  • Quilters - Come join the St. Paul’s Quilters. It is a wonderful way to share your creativity, enjoy fellowship, and make a difference together. Whether you’re an experienced quilter or just starting out, you’ll find friendship, encouragement, and a chance to learn new skills. The group works on projects that bless others in the community while offering time for laughter, conversation, and connection. We meet Wednesday afternoons from 1:00 to 4:00.
  • Puppettude – A fellowship of Christians using performing arts to reach a sight and sound generation. Each year we spend the month of December visiting nursing homes sharing the joy of Christmas. Puppettude is currently on hiatus. Visit past fun on YouTube
  • Soup Kitchen - Volunteering at the Torrington Soup Kitchen, located in the basement of Trinity Episcopal Church, is a rewarding way to serve others and make a difference in the community. Volunteers help prepare and serve hot a meal, welcome over 80 guests, and provide a warm, friendly atmosphere for those in need. St. Paul’s day is the second Sunday of every month from 11:45 – 2:00.
  • Community Garden - St. Paul’s is happy to share our garden space with Torrington Area Families for Autism (TAFA) a local Autism nonprofit organization started by parents who know firsthand what it means to raise a child living with autism. TAFA uses the garden space to grow flowers, teaching valuable life skills to the children. They sell the bouquets at the Torrington Farmer’s Market. All sales go back to program needs and to offset the costs of the material used in the market.

The goal of TAFA is to create a group focused on Autism Advocacy, Awareness and Inclusion. They also offer a support group, group activities, and social opportunities. Exposure and opportunities for socialization make a world of difference to those living with autism and their families.
